To be fair, I pretty much stopped having an interest in Jubilee the moment X-Men went into their 2000 run (then again, I stop having an interest in X-Men altogether when Ultimate X-Men gotten more popular then all the other X-Men; until Joss Wheddon started writing Astonishing X-Men).
You know, in my opinion, it would be funny as hell if Jubilee regained her powers in her current vampire form. Seriously, that is clever stealth pun making the girl with the mutant powers of sparkling lose her powers in House of M, then turn into a vampire in an X-Men story and finally give her back her powers during the time Scarlet Witch fix all the shit she caused (seriously, it is definately going to happen; she already brought back Scott Lang).
Than again, they already did a stealth pun with Gambit being a vampire for awhile; added with his interaction with Rogue and who she was portrayed in the X-Men movies, then we got ourselves a True Blood reference.
Wow, can't believe I wrote all that about the visuals puns related to X-Men characters as vampires. Don't want to imagine what would happen when I talk about the Snowbirds Don't Fly reference in this picture, seeing that I am a DC fan.
I got this reference right away - very clever! But I think giving Jubilee, who was cool precisely she only had "minor"abilities, into this kind of hardcore ultra-high powered immortal being kind of wrecks the character.
I swear if Jubes starts sparkling in the marvel comics I'm going to have to get everyone to demand that marvel undo her vampire status. But then again I already feel that way.. Why couldn't they do something a little more belivable like make her a lezzie vampire?.. Just kidding..i'd settle for the lezzie.. Anything is improvement over this vampire nonsense!
