Deadpool: **** you, liver! Deadpool: **** you, Lloyd! Deadpool: (to Deviantart members viewing this awesome drawing) Thanks for checking out this rad piece of art (jumps across bar and kicks Lloyd in his ghost gnads).
I love the look on Lloyd's face. His face says: WTF!
Forgive my ignorance, but is Deadpool evil, crazy, or what? That would certainly explain his ability to turn the Overlook into a Disneyland from Hell. Or maybe he just has a "I don't give a ++++, you don't scare me" attitude?
Oh my gosh, I love this. I think Deadpool would be the first person to get kicked out of that place. You can't drive a crazy person...well, crazy lol He'd just feel like home. Oh, maybe you could draw Deadpool looking into a room with one guy on the bed and the other dressed in a Yogi Bear costume! XD
Well, I looked it up. Not as heart warming as you think. Turns out there is this party in the 1920's and there is this rich guy that helped fund the restoration of the Overlook Hotel attending it. He's sitting at this table with his..*ahem* "friend" when he basically tells him if he wants to get with him, not only does he have to act like a dog but dress like one too. So, that's where we see the two guys in the room...seriously, does that look like a dog costume to you?
I gotta admit; after playing some of the Deadpool game, I regret not reading the comics. He's such a hilarious, loveable psychotic with a love of bloodshed. As for adding him to The Shining? It's like something Mel Brooks would do if he teamed up with Marvel. I see Deadpool hearing about the woman in Room 217's bathroom, rushing up there in excitement, but getting mildly dismayed when he sees that she's a corpse. He'd probably shoot her head off, then remark that he has to keep trying, or something.
This review is a little tough. I'm VERY skeptical about combining cartoon/comic elements with photorealistic elements, as it just kind of irks me. However, as this is The Shining, not to mention Deadpool, I am willing to make an exception. Furthermore, the parts that are drawn are done very well and draw our attention away from the real imagery. The little girls who were murdered have the classic deadpan expression on them and a touch of Marvel on them, and in the bar, is that Lloyd or Grady serving Deadpool? The Merc with a Mouth had better have one hell of a tab.
The best of all is the last one, of course. I love the image of Deadpool surfing on the elevator of blood, something both macabre and mirthful, and his expression just screams "Koo koo ka choo!". The graphics are like something right out of the comics, maybe even improved a bit.
In general, this is absolutely tasty to my eyes, and I'm glad to have found it. Hmm, I wonder what will happen when Deadpool meets the other ghosts in the Overlook? I wonder... Nah! Welcome to the list.
