MAD magazine did something like this a while back, where Frank Miller Batman kills the Penguin and 60's Robin says "Golly Gee, the Penguin's been put on ice! But what's that red stuff coming out of him?"

Little confession: I've always wanted there to be another live action Batman series, only this one would be serious and gritty. It would be kind of like Smallville, focusing on Bruce Wayne's growth and training up to the point where he became Batman. Meh. I can dream, can't I?

Anyway, this pic seriously gave me something entertaining to start my day off. I remember watching the 60s series along with the animated series and man, now that I've read TDKR, it would be hilarious to see this sort of crossover. Batman shattering bones, tapping pressure points, and driving the tank-like Batmobile through the bright and campy streets of Gotham! The artwork is almost an exact replica of the 60s intro, right down to the way the older Batman is portrayed, and I love how you've portrayed him breaking the Joker's neck, right out of the book! I just love Robin's expression in the last panel. He's clearly thinking to himself, "Holy (insert pun), is he going to eat me?!" Maybe THIS is why Batman and him haven't spoken to each other in so many years in the book! And the blood on Batman's fist? Nice touch. Everything is just a pure victory on your part.

Overall, I find this both funny and a worthy tribute. Now I wanna read TDKR again! Nice job. Welcome to the list.

No, I haven't seen the animated movie yet, but I am aware of it. Procrastination has always been one of my worst traits. Personally, I've always wanted somebody to make a live action version of the thing, but that's probably an impossible dream. Ah well.
